Bredonborough.

Any business driven solely by profit will fail;
the greater the demand for profit, the greater the failure.

Waking at 04.30 & remaining awake. Mother-in-Law Barbara was dropping off her car at 05.45 & needed to open the gates; this was not a job for an elderly women who has just el crumpoed her leg. Rising at 05.30, gates opened, returning to bed shortly afterwards. A later rise at 08.50, a visit by the tv man at 10.05 – the tv in the attic works, kind-of: its power cable does not properly fit.

The reading-morning began immediately afterwards.

Back to a little more organising in the attic. The tv is no longer working, again again: the mains lead leads nowhere. Mother & Child are unperturbed by this, at the top of the house as at the bottom…
